@ your library's own photographer Vince Lovecchio has been awarded First Prize in the category Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) for his series entry titled, "World Trade Demonstrations Sydney ." The jury selected 2007's winners from thousands of photography entries from over 85 countries.
Vince is a professional photographer based in Orange, NSW. He has won a variety of national and international photography awards including the prestigious Australian Nikon/Panorama Photographer of the Year, the International B&W Spider Awards, the Trans-Tasman Award and the International Photography Awards (USA). Vince has also won a number of Australian Institute of Professional Photography awards. His images have appeared in a number of publications worldwide and represented internationally at major photo conventions in Los Angeles and New York. His work has also featured in numerous exhibitions including the upcoming 'Sydney Now' exhibition at the Museum of Sydney featuring the works of 25 contemporary Australian photographers.
The "Prix de la Photographie Paris" (Px3) strives to promote the appreciation of photography, to discover emerging talent, and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris. Winning photographs from this competition are exhibited in a high-profile gallery in Paris and published in the high-quality, full-color Px3 Annual Book.
